The 136th China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, opened its doors in Guangzhou on October 15. Focusing on the themes of "Advanced Manufacturing", "Quality Home Life", and "Better Life", the Sichuan and Chengdu delegations at the Canton Fair have jointly organized 446 enterprises to participate and secured 1,032 booths, with a display of 22,896 exhibits.

Themed "Serving High-quality Development, Promoting High-level Opening-up", this edition of the fair covers a total exhibition area of 1.55 million square meters, drawing nearly 30,000 enterprises from across China and hundreds of thousands of buyers from over 200 countries and regions. It boasts higher exhibition quality, stronger investment promotion, better integration of online and offline platforms, and an improved service experience.

To maximize the Canton Fair's platform and enhance participation quality and effectiveness, Sichuan actively promotes trade-production integration during the fair. Production-oriented firms account for 66.7 percent of Sichuan's exhibiting companies, with 90 businesses making their Canton Fair debut. Concurrently, Sichuan has arranged for 30 production companies to attend the fair as observers, aiming to help more Sichuan enterprises gain an in-depth understanding of the Canton Fair and foster potential market spaces.

Notably, 86 of the exhibiting companies have received prestigious recognitions, including designations as national high-tech companies, specialized and sophisticated "little giant" enterprises, and champions in specific manufacturing sectors. The Sichuan exhibits at the Canton Fair include 2,740 new products, 5,718 green and low-carbon items, and 3,049 products with independent intellectual property. These products, spanning various sections like home appliances, general machinery, and textile fabrics, highlight the intelligence, value, and greenness of Sichuan's industrial offerings.

During the fair, economic and trade promotional events for Ziyang City and Chengdu's Xinjin District, among other regions, will be held to further promote local industries, enterprises, and products. These activities are aimed at helping Sichuan companies secure orders and boost transactions, contributing to injecting new vitality into Sichuan's foreign trade for stabilizing its scale and optimizing its structure.
