Since the Central Third Ecological and Environmental Protection Inspection Team arrived in Sichuan, the team has handed over several batches of public complaints to the province and notified typical cases. On November 14, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial People's Congress, journeyed to Wuhou District and Pengzhou City, Chengdu, to conduct on-site supervision of the rectification efforts for the issues and public complaints reported through the central ecological and environmental protection inspection. He stressed the need to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Eco-Civilization and General Secretary Xi Jinping's key instructions regarding Sichuan's work, adopt a more decisive stance and more effective measures to address the typical cases and the issues reported by public complaints, effectively resolve prominent eco-environmental concerns of the public, and continuously modernize the province's governance for this regard.

The Chengdu Weitao Ceramics Company, situated in Pengzhou City, specializes in manufacturing sanitary ceramic products. Wang Xiaohui and Fu Zhifang began their inspection tour at this location. Focusing on the company's reported illegal emission of polluting gases, they undertook an in-depth examination of the production equipment and workshop environment, acquiring a comprehensive insight into the progress and efficacy of the corrective measures. Wang Xiaohui said to the company's management that embracing green transformation is vital for the enterprise's long-term growth and that strict compliance with environmental standards is a fundamental premise for the company's production and development. He emphasized the need to learn from past mistakes, implement prompt rectification measures, and guarantee that the necessary corrections are fully executed. He instructed local authorities and departments to guide enterprises in progressing their rectification efforts, urge key industry players to advance their technological standards and diminish pollution outputs, implement individualized environmental strategies for each company in question, and foster a shift towards sustainable and low-carbon business practices. Great emphasis should be placed on addressing ecological and environmental concerns voiced by the public. Following this, Wang Xiaohui and Fu Zhifang proceeded to the Wuhou District Urban Resource Treatment Center to verify on-site the issue of garbage disposal odors affecting local residents. They urged the implementation of corrective measures and worked with local officials to discuss integrated management strategies. Wang Xiaohui stated that the efficient management of urban domestic waste is essential for the modernization of urban governance, which necessitates the thorough integration of public opinions, proactive engagement of community involvement, and readiness to accept public oversight. Efforts should be made to integrate advanced technological methods, enhance the retrofitting, maintenance, and upgrading of odor control facilities, augment the performance of environmental monitoring systems near waste collection stations, and guarantee emissions not only meet the basic compliance levels but achieve enhanced quality standards. It is essential to combine immediate rectifications with sustainable strategic planning. By addressing environmental challenges at individual waste collection facilities, we can identify effective approaches and establish robust systems for urban governance. We can strengthen refined urban management through a focus on prominent eco-environmental issues impacting the public, including unusual odors, noise, and cooking fume pollution, so as to maintain the city's vibrant livelihood while ensuring a fresh atmosphere, ultimately to better meet the people's aspiration for a high-quality living environment.

Wang Xiaohui stressed that all regions and departments across the province must offer their utmost support to the central ecological environmental protection inspection team, considering the political and holistic significance of the task, and specify the responsible units, leading officials, rectification measures, and timelines for every case notified by the inspection team and each public complaint transferred to us, ensuring comprehensive and effective rectification.
