On November 22, the People's Government of Sichuan Province and Tsinghua University signed an agreement on further deepening strategic cooperation comprehensively in Chengdu. Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province; Li Luming, President of Tsinghua University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; and Yu Lijun, Deputy Secretary and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee, attended and jointly witnessed the signing of the relevant agreements.

Vice Governor Zuo Yongxiang and Tsinghua University's Vice President Zeng Rong signed the agreement representing their respective sides. Under the agreement, the two sides will fully leverage their unique advantages, including Sichuan Province's policy support, resources, and the market, and Tsinghua University's technological expertise, talent pool, and educational excellence, focus on accelerating the development of new quality productive forces and solidly driving high-quality development, and consistently deepen collaboration in such domains as building industry-academia-research platforms, achieving breakthroughs in major scientific and technological projects, commercializing research outcomes, utilizing public data, and exchanging educational and leadership talents. These initiatives aim to robustly support Sichuan's modernization drive and assist Tsinghua University in its pursuit of becoming a world-class higher learning institution.

At the signing ceremony, the Provincial Department of Education, Chengdu City, Meishan City, and the Meishan Administrative Committee of Sichuan Tianfu New Area each entered into agreements with Tsinghua University High School on policy measures and cooperative education programs to support the high-quality development of Tsinghua University High School-Tianfu.

Xiang Botao, Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tsinghua University Committee, Zeng Qing, Secretary-General of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and relevant leading officials from Tsinghua University, pertinent provincial departments, Chengdu City, and Meishan City, among others, attended the event.
