On the morning of March 25, the press conference for the second Golden Panda Awards was held in Beijing. It was announced at the conference that the second Golden Panda Awards event will open in Chengdu on September 12.

This year's Golden Panda Awards event features a "3+3+1" framework comprising three main activities, three ancillary events, and one extension activity. Among the three main activities, the Golden Panda Night kicks off the celebrations, which will present a welcome event rich in Chinese charm and Sichuan characteristics. The Golden Panda International Cultural Forum stands as the centerpiece event, gathering distinguished guests from home and abroad for thought-provoking exchanges that foster mutual learning and harmony among civilizations. The Golden Panda Awards Ceremony will culminate the event with its grand finale, honoring excellence across four categories: films, television series, documentaries and animation. As of March 24, the ceremony has collected 1,788 submissions, including 71 films, 385 television series, 854 documentaries, and 478 animated works.

The three ancillary activities are the "Panda Takes You for a World Tour" film and television exchange and cooperation event, the "Cinema Together" film screening event, and the "Meet the Pandas" visiting event. Among these, the "Panda Takes You for a World Tour" event will unveil film and television projects, share industry opportunities, and advance cultural-tourism integration initiatives. The "Cinema Together" event will deliver premium film culture experiences to public audiences through multiple viewing formats, including theater screenings, open-air cinema events, and thematic viewing programs. The "Meet the Pandas" visiting event will organize Chinese and foreign guests to observe giant pandas up close, initiating a journey of natural and cultural exploration.

As the extension activity of this year's Golden Panda Awards, the "Our Panda" short videos and graphics global solicitation and exhibition campaign will launch an international call for short videos and graphic works related to giant pandas, celebrating touching human-panda connections through visual storytelling.

The Golden Panda Awards is a biennial event co-hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the People's Government of Sichuan Province, with Sichuan serving as its permanent host location. As an international communication grand prize, it leverages film and television as its primary medium, features the giant panda as its iconic cultural symbol, and promotes the building of a community with a shared future for mankind as its guiding principle.
